What is API Wizard?

API Wizard is a software company that offers a suite of Excel tools that integrate directly with Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle EBS.  These tools enable secure, real-time data uploads, bulk data changes and reporting.

API Wizard supports both Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS 11i, R12) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.

Technical & Installation

How is API Wizard installed?

For Fusion Cloud, the product is delivered as an Excel addin and is simply enabled within Excel (no install required).

For Oracle EBS, there is both an Excel addin and a server-side installation, which takes only a few minutes to deploy.

Most customers are live in 1–3 days. Cloud-only clients may be up within hours.

Yes.  API Wizard adheres to all Oracle security rules and roles and works over encrypted communications with no data leaving the customer environment.

Yes, we support SSO for both Fusion Cloud and EBS.

Functionality

Can API Wizard handle attachments?
Yes, you can attach files (PDFs, docs, spreadsheets) to specific transactions or records directly from Excel.

All standard Oracle validations are included plus the ability to add additional validations for business-specific rules.

Yes. API Wizard templates can include DFFs, EFFs, and other client- specific fields, validated and uploaded securely.

Yes.  API Wizard works dynamically with Oracle’s integration layer and automatically adjusts to Oracle patches and upgrades.

Can I restrict which users have access to specific loaders or modules?

Yes. API Wizard allows role-based access control. Admins can define which users see which templates, modules, or Oracle responsibilities — ensuring compliance and separation of duties.

Yes. All failed uploads return detailed error messages within Excel. API Wizard logs each transaction, showing what failed, why, and where — so users can correct issues and retry immediately.

Yes. API Wizard supports inserts, updates, and in some cases, deletions (where Oracle APIs allow it). This makes it ideal for data corrections, cleanups, and periodic updates.

Yes. The user interface and data templates can be customized to support multiple languages, and it respects Oracle NLS settings for number/date formats and labels.

Yes. In fact, API Wizard is commonly used to extend standard Oracle APIs, incorporate custom PL/SQL procedures (EBS), and work with custom tables (both Cloud and EBS).  We also support tailored templates for custom business logic.
